Sarah began her Mathnasium career in 2016 and has over a decade of experience in education. She’s passionate about making math meaningful and believes true understanding, not memorization, builds lasting confidence.
When she’s not at Mathnasium, Sarah teaches future educators at Endicott College and Harvard University. She loves seeing students transform their outlook on math, proving that when math makes sense, excitement and success follow.
Rachel
Student Success Director
Rachel holds a B.S. in Applied Mathematics from Endicott College and began her Mathnasium journey as an intern in 2020. She quickly became Assistant Center Director, bringing creativity, care, and energy to her students every day.
Rachel enjoys biking by the beach, skiing in winter, and spending time with her dog, Gizmo. She loves helping students discover that math can be both fun and rewarding!
Sam "Sully"
Assistant Center Director
Sully holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University and brings both technical expertise and a love of teaching to Mathnasium.
After nearly six years as an instructor, Sully now leads with enthusiasm and humor. Outside of work, he enjoys strategy games, board games, and sharing laughter with students and teammates alike.

Mary earned her Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, focusing on computational modeling for sustainable materials. She also teaches college-level math at Endicott College.
She’s passionate about making STEM engaging and accessible for learners of all ages. Outside the classroom, Mary enjoys inspiring curiosity through creative science communication and lifelong learning.
Abby
Instructor
Abby is a Civil Engineering major at Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a midshipman in the NROTC program. She combines her passion for STEM and leadership as she trains for a future Navy career.
At Mathnasium, Abby loves helping students build confidence and curiosity in math. Outside of class, she enjoys running, paddle boarding, and playing flute in the WPI Philharmonic Orchestra.
Andrew

Andrew has demonstrated a profound passion for mathematics over the years, culminating in his participation on the Eastern Massachusetts Regional Math Team and competing in the American Regional Mathematics League during his junior and senior years of high school. After high school, he embarked on a journey to attain a bachelor's degree in Computer Science at Brandeis University, effectively melding his love for math and technology. During his leisure time, he dedicates himself to a project that he holds dear to himself – translating children's books into various languages. His aspiration is to leverage the knowledge he has acquired to foster unity and create a positive impact in the world through his current and future projects.
Haywood
Instructor
After earning his Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from the University of Vermont, Haywood has been eager to share his passion for math with learners of all ages. He believes that anyone can succeed in mathematics with the right tools and guidance. His teaching emphasizes building intuition and understanding the fundamental principles of the subject, helping students develop both confidence and curiosity.
Beyond the classroom, Haywood’s interests include music and art. During his studies, he was especially drawn to exploring the fascinating intersections between math and music, and how each discipline can illuminate the other. With experience teaching math at every level, Haywood is always excited to engage students in meaningful conversations about mathematics – no matter their starting point.
