Bob, known as Mr. B, spent over 30 years on Wall Street with Salomon Brothers and Citigroup, pioneering data-driven approaches to mortgage valuation. A Syracuse University graduate with a B.S. in Mathematics, he brings extensive real-world math experience to his role at Mathnasium.
A lifelong Brooklyn resident, Bob has tutored privately, served on nonprofit boards, and supported teens in his community. Passionate about helping children build math confidence, he is committed to using the Mathnasium Method™ to ensure every student experiences success.
Desiree Bernstein
Owner
Desiree is a U.S. Navy veteran and longtime advocate for youth development. She has created and led impactful programs for children across New York City, including the widely recognized “Super Gang?” initiative in Coney Island.

Ricky earned a B.A. in Mathematics from SUNY Binghamton and an MBA in Management from Baruch College. He spent over 40 years at New York Life Insurance, where he applied his math skills to actuarial work and rate-setting for insurance products.
After retiring, Ricky pursued his passion for education through tutoring roles at Kaplan, SYLVAN, and Huntington. His love for math and helping students succeed brought him to Mathnasium, where he now uses his experience to make math accessible and rewarding for all learners.
