• Do you offer online tutoring?

  Yes, Mathnasium of Bend provides both in-center and online tutoring. Students receive personalized, face-to-face instruction in a supportive group environment from the same specially trained tutors, whether they attend sessions online or in person.

• Is there a difference between online and in-person tutoring?

  No, students who choose to attend Mathnasium of Bend online receive personalized learning plans and the same live, face-to-face instruction as they would in our center.

• What math classes can your Bend tutors help with?

  We provide personalized support to help students learn and master any K–12 math class or topic, from early arithmetic to Algebra, Geometry, and beyond.

  No, membership fees are the same whether students attend sessions online, in person, or through a hybrid format.

  Each student begins with a diagnostic assessment that helps us understand their current skill level, identify learning gaps, and clarify their academic goals. These insights allow us to create a personalized learning plan designed to address their needs.

• How do you teach math? What curriculum do you use?

  At Mathnasium of Bend, we use the Mathnasium Method™, which combines personalized learning plans with proven teaching techniques. 

  Building on what the student already knows, we introduce new concepts gradually, breaking them down into simple steps to help them fill in their knowledge gaps, build solid foundational skills, and develop confidence in math.

• Do you work with advanced students or with students who are struggling with math?

  Certainly! We work with students of all skill levels, whether they are looking to catch up, keep up, or get ahead on their math journey. 

  Students who are struggling with math benefit from personalized instruction and confidence-building support. Advanced learners enjoy enrichment programs that deepen their understanding, challenge their thinking, and introduce them to new mathematical concepts.

• Do you work with homeschooled students in Bend?

  Yes, we support students from all educational backgrounds, including homeschool, public, and private school families throughout NW Bend, South Bend, and nearby areas.

• Do you help students with their math homework?

  Yes, our tutors set aside time during each session to help students with their math homework and ensure they understand the material they are covering in school.

• Does Mathnasium assign homework to students?

  No, all learning takes place during sessions with our specially trained tutors. We do not assign additional homework, allowing students to stay focused and make real progress while they’re with us.

• Do you prepare students for standardized tests?

  Yes, we help students prepare for standardized and school-based math tests, including state assessments, ACT®, and SAT®. Our test prep includes personalized learning plans, targeted practice, and proven strategies to build both skill and confidence.
