Lexi Flores
Assistant Center Director
Lexi is a junior at Lewis University pursuing a BS in Biology, where she combines her love of math and science with an eye toward a future medical career. She enjoys helping students see math as a puzzle, showing them that there are often multiple ways to reach the solution.
At Mathnasium, Lexi works to instill both curiosity and confidence in her students, encouraging them to use their own number sense to problem-solve. Outside of teaching, she enjoys reading, running, and spending time with friends and family.
Rian Jacquat
Instructor
Rian is a junior at Illinois State University studying Accounting and hopes to one day earn his CPA. His career goals include working for one of the “Big 4” accounting firms or perhaps opening his own Mathnasium. He views math as a language, with numbers telling stories once you learn how to “speak” them.
At the center, Rian uses Socratic questioning to guide students in exploring their knowledge and learning from mistakes. He believes that every misstep is an opportunity to grow, and he enjoys watching his students gain both skill and confidence.
Vanessa Flores
Instructor
Vanessa is in her third year at Lewis University, majoring in Psychology, but she has always had a strong passion for math. She especially enjoys working with middle school students, who are often at a stage where confidence in math can falter.
She loves seeing students grow in both their math skills and their self-esteem. For Vanessa, teaching math is about more than equations—it’s about supporting students in ways that help them feel capable and resilient, both academically and personally.

Instructor
Aminah graduated high school early and is now a sophomore at DePaul University studying Public Health Policy. She has a strong passion for working with young learners and treasures the relationships she builds with her students at Mathnasium.
