Phillip is a UCLA graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Physiology. Though his career goals are in medicine, his love for mathematics has shaped his scientific thinking and sparked an interest in programming. He finds beauty in math’s order, symmetry, and purpose—comparable to the human body itself.
Phillip enjoys tutoring because it allows him to share that same appreciation for math’s elegance and utility. Outside of Mathnasium, he helps at his church and enjoys learning his favorite rock songs on guitar.

Zenia graduated from UCLA with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Mathematics. Though her studies focused on the human mind, she could never let go of her love for math. She views math like a puzzle—challenging yet deeply satisfying once the pieces fit together.
At Mathnasium, Zenia helps students work through frustration to find joy and confidence in problem-solving. She hopes to earn her teaching credentials to become a high school math teacher. In her free time, she enjoys swimming, salsa dancing, hiking, and reading.

Vera is a psychobiology major at UCLA who finds deep satisfaction in applying math to real-world problems. Her modeling courses, where she explored differentiation in epidemiology, reinforced her appreciation for how math connects to science and everyday life.
