Wesley Matthews
Center Director/Owner
Wesley is the Owner and Center Director of Mathnasium of Fort Mill. Before opening his own center in December 2021, he directed Mathnasium centers in Raleigh for six years. He studied Physics at Wake Forest University, graduating at the top of his class, and later earned his Master’s from NC State University.
Wesley discovered his passion for education while teaching math during graduate school and has been committed to helping students ever since. Outside of Mathnasium, he enjoys spending time with his preschooler, cooking, reading, gaming, and singing.
Ashley
Director
Ashley serves as the Director at Mathnasium of Fort Mill. With a background in engineering, she first joined Mathnasium as an instructor before moving into her current leadership role. A lifelong resident of South Charlotte, Ashley is passionate about giving back to her community and helping students build confidence in math.
She especially enjoys seeing students repair their relationship with math and grow to see it as something approachable and fun. Outside of work, Ashley enjoys reading and spending time with her trained police dog.
Jill
Lead Instructor
Jill earned her degree in Economics from West Point and went on to complete her MBA at Long Island University. As a mother of three adult daughters, she discovered her passion for teaching math while helping one of her children, who has dyslexia, find new ways to succeed.
That experience inspired Jill to help other students see math differently. She believes that math should be fun and rewarding, and loves watching her students light up when they finally solve the puzzle in front of them.
