• Does Mathnasium of Hartland offer online tutoring?

  Yes. Mathnasium of Hartland offers both in-center and online tutoring.   

  All our students receive face-to-face instruction in a supportive group environment and work with the same caring tutors, whether they choose to attend in person or online. 

• Is there a difference between online and in-person tutoring?

  No, the experience is designed to be consistent across both formats.   

  Online students follow the same customized learning plans and work directly with the specially trained tutors they would meet at our Hartland center.

  There is a flat enrollment fee for our program, and students attend regularly—much like a gym membership.  

  We recommend that they attend Mathnasium 2-3 times per week as attending less frequently will slow results and attending too often could lead to student burnout.

• Is there a difference between the cost of online and in-center math tutoring?

  There is no difference! Membership pricing is the same for all students, whether they choose to attend sessions online, in person, or use a hybrid approach. 

• Why do you require an assessment for enrollment at Mathnasium of Hartland?

  Each student is given a diagnostic assessment that pinpoints their strengths, knowledge gaps, and unique goals, so that we can create a personalized learning plan that will put them on the best path to math mastery. 

• How do you teach math? What method or curriculum do you use?

  Unlike a math class, Mathnasium teaches to the individual. Our expert instructors provide face-to-face instruction at the right pace for each student. 

  We use The Mathnasium Method™, a proprietary teaching approach which combines personalized learning plans with mental, verbal, visual, tactile, and written teaching techniques to build math knowledge upon what students already know and expand their mathematical thinking.  

  Using this approach, our tutors teach for understanding, helping students enhance their critical thinking and problem-solving skills so they're able to retain what they learn and gain confidence along the way.
