    Students who choose to attend online receive live, face-to-face instruction in a fun and supportive group environment, guided by our same caring tutors in Lexington whether they attend online or in person.

  • Is there a difference between online and in-person tutoring?

    No, whether attending online or in-center, students receive the same quality of live face-to-face instruction. Online students receive the same personalized learning plans and caring support from our specially trained tutors as those in the center.

  • Is there a difference between the cost of online and in-center math tutoring?

    No. Membership pricing is the same whether your child attends sessions online, in center, or a combination of both. 

  • Why do you require an assessment for enrollment?

    The diagnostic assessment serves to identify each student’s current skill level, knowledge gaps, and learning goals, so we can design a plan tailored to their specific needs.  

    Understanding each student’s unique approach to math helps us adjust instruction to their learning style and pace and empower them to unlock their true potential. 

  • How do you teach math? What curriculum do you use?

    At Mathnasium of Lexington, we do not follow a traditional curriculum. We use the Mathnasium Method™, a proprietary teaching approach that combines personalized, assessment-based learning plans with proven teaching techniques to build solid foundations for math mastery. 

    Our approach builds on each student’s existing knowledge, addressing the gaps in their understanding and introducing new concepts gradually and in a logical sequence. We work with students to expand their mathematical thinking so they can build the skills and confidence to excel in the classroom and beyond. 

  • Do you work with advanced students or students who are struggling with math?

    Both! We support students of all skill levels, whether they are looking to catch up, keep up, or are ready to get ahead on their math journey.
