Dylan Cox
Center Director
Dylan is currently attending Purdue University Northwest, where he is majoring in Applied Mathematics with the goal of becoming a math teacher. He has always enjoyed mathematics, particularly Pre-Calculus, Trigonometry, and Calculus, and has been part of the Mathnasium team for the past three years.
What Dylan enjoys most about teaching is helping students approach problems from different angles and build confidence in their own abilities. He believes every student learns differently and at their own pace, so he takes the time to understand how each student learns best and find ways to support them.
As Center Director, Dylan is excited to meet the students and families who walk through our doors, support their growth, and watch their confidence in math improve. Outside of Mathnasium, he enjoys playing video games with friends, hiking, taking walks outdoors, and traveling. He has visited seven different countries and especially enjoys sightseeing and learning about different cultures.
Dylan looks forward to helping our students—and our community—grow and succeed!
Ian Foreman
Assistant Center Director
Ian graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a major in Mathematics and a minor in Applied Math and Philosophy. He joined the Mathnasium team in 2023, combining his passion for teaching with his love of mathematics. As our Assistant Center Director, Ian enjoys working with students and helping keep the Center running smoothly.
What Ian enjoys most about being an instructor is seeing the “light bulb” moment when an idea finally clicks for a student. He loves making math engaging and fun through games, drawings, and hands-on activities. Ian wants his students to know that he is always happy to work through a challenging problem with them and help them build confidence along the way.
Outside of Mathnasium, Ian enjoys playing and writing music and can play several instruments. He also enjoys playing chess, coding, and spending time in warm, sunny weather. Families may even spot Ian playing chess with students in the Center!
Kyan Hodgin
Assistant Center Director
Kyan graduated from Purdue University with degrees in Law and Society (Criminology) and Political Science, along with a minor in Forensic Science. She joined the Mathnasium team at the end of September and enjoys being part of each student’s math journey. Her favorite area of math is order of operations, along with elementary and middle school math.
What Kyan enjoys most about being an Assistant Center Director is getting to know each student and watching their confidence grow, both in math and in themselves. She loves seeing students master new concepts and experience those exciting moments when everything finally clicks. She wants her students to know that she is always rooting for them, believes in their abilities, and is happy to work alongside them to make math make sense.
Outside of Mathnasium, Kyan loves singing, reading, Disney, and spending time with her fiancé. Together, they enjoy watching movies and TV shows, working on puzzles, and playing board games, especially Dune: Imperium. Kyan moved to Indiana to attend Purdue University in West Lafayette and has called Indiana home ever since. And, of course, she is always ready to cheer on her Boilermakers—Boiler Up, Hammer Down!

Ken’s favorite part of being an instructor is watching students’ confidence grow—especially when they finally have that “I get it!” moment. He wants students to know that patience, curiosity, and persistence can open doors to all kinds of opportunities in science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics.
Outside of Mathnasium, Ken is a writer, hiker, and lifelong learner. He has published one book and is currently working on his next. Mathnasium provides premium value by combining a superior learning experience with an efficient structure that keeps costs low. There is a flat enrollment fee for our program, and students attend regularly—much like a gym membership. We recommend that they attend Mathnasium 2-3 times per week as attending less frequently will slow results and attending too often could lead to student burnout. Pricing varies by program and geographic area. Contact our center for more details on enrollment packages.
