FAQ

Mathnasium of Fayetteville, GA FAQs

  • What does mathematics tutoring cost at Mathnasium of Fayetteville?

Mathnasium of Fayetteville offers premium-value tutoring through a monthly membership with a one-time enrollment fee. Most students attend two to three times per week.

After an initial assessment, we design a customized learning plan and recommend a schedule tailored to your child’s needs. For details, please contact us at [email protected].

  • What math classes can your tutors in Fayetteville help with?

We support students in grades K–12 across a wide range of math classes, including arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Statistics, and advanced high school math.

Our personalized learning plans guide students in strengthening core skills, while gaining clarity on challenging concepts and developing greater confidence in math.

  • Is there a difference between online and in-person tutoring?

No, the results and experience are consistent in both formats.

Students receive the same personalized learning plans and real-time instruction from our caring tutors in Fayetteville. Online students even work with the very same math tutors they would meet in our center.

  • Does Mathnasium of Fayetteville offer online math tutoring?

Yes, Mathnasium of Fayetteville offers both in-center and online tutoring. Students can receive face-to-face instruction in a supportive, small-group setting whether they join us in person or virtually.

  • How is Mathnasium different from other tutoring options?

Mathnasium is a comprehensive math learning system designed to transform how students understand, approach, and feel about math.

While many traditional tutors focus on helping students with homework or preparing for the next test, Mathnasium uses a strategic, long-term approach that targets the root of the problem: gaps in foundational knowledge.

Each student starts with a detailed diagnostic assessment that identifies exactly what they know and what they need to learn. From there, we create a custom Learning Plan tailored to their needs, goals, and learning pace.

Here’s what truly sets Mathnasium (in Fayetteville) apart:

    • Customized Learning Plans: We don’t follow a one-size-fits-all approach. Each student’s plan is built from scratch and evolves with their progress.

    • Proven Methodology: Our curriculum has been refined over 20+ years and is aligned with Georgia Standards. It’s structured to build conceptual understanding, not just memorization.

    • Consistent Instructor Support: Students work with trained instructors in a small group setting (3:1 or 4:1 ratio), receiving the guidance they need and the independence to grow.

    • Mastery-Based Progression: Students must demonstrate mastery of each concept before moving on. We don’t rush; we build confidence and competence step by step.

    • Whole-Child Focus: We support classroom learning (including homework help) while building skills for the long haul, including critical thinking, number sense, and academic resilience.

Most importantly, we don’t just help students "get through math" — we help them get good at it. That’s the Mathnasium difference.

  • What is Mathnasium and how does it work?

Mathnasium is a math-only learning center that helps students in grades K–12 build a deep understanding and love for math. At Mathnasium of Fayetteville, every student begins with a comprehensive assessment, which we use to create a customized Learning Plan.

Students attend 60-minute sessions 2–3 times per week, working with caring instructors in a small-group setting (3:1 or 4:1 ratio). We meet students where they are, move them forward at their pace, and boost both skill and confidence.

  • Why do you require an assessment for enrollment?

Each student begins their Mathnasium journey with a diagnostic assessment designed to identify their current skills, knowledge gaps, and academic goals.

We use assessment-based insights to design a personalized learning plan that supports the student’s progress in math.

  • How do you teach math? What curriculum do you use?
