• Why do you require an assessment for enrollment?

  At Mathnasium of Portage, students begin enrollment with a diagnostic assessment designed to help us identify their learning needs and goals. Using these insights, we create a learning plan that helps students truly understand math and make meaningful progress. 

• How do you teach math? What curriculum do you use?

  At Mathnasium of Portage, we do not follow a traditional curriculum. We use our proprietary approach called the Mathnasium Method™, which combines personalized learning plans with proven teaching techniques to develop solid foundations for math mastery.  

  Our approach builds on each student’s existing knowledge, addressing the gaps in their understanding and introducing new concepts gradually and in a logical sequence.
