Sam Younis
Center Owner
Sam graduated Cum Laude from Vanderbilt University and later earned an MFA in Theater from Columbia University. Before joining Mathnasium, he worked as an actor, writer, tutor, and public servant. In 2012, he opened his first Mathnasium in Los Angeles, later relocating to Georgia, where he now owns the Decatur and Morningside centers.
Sam brings a passion for both creativity and logic to his work, helping students build number sense and confidence. He has also served on the Mathnasium Franchisee Advisory Committee, guiding the company’s direction and impact on student learning.
Sara Miller
Center Director
Sara is a Georgia native and a graduate of the University of Missouri - Kansas City, where she earned a Liberal Arts degree with minors in Math and Communications and played D1 softball. After returning to Georgia, she earned her Master’s in Sports Administration from Georgia State University and worked as a college pitching coach.
Sara first joined the Mathnasium of Decatur team as an instructor and now leads the Morningside center as Center Director. She’s passionate about helping students succeed through the Mathnasium Method and enjoys combining her math skills and coaching background to inspire kids to love learning.
Leo B
Lead Instructor
Leo is a Mechanical Engineering student at Georgia Tech who joined Mathnasium in 2020 at the Woodstock location and became part of the Morningside team in 2023. He believes that everyone can understand math with the right support and is passionate about building students’ confidence and reducing math anxiety.
Leo finds the Mathnasium Method effective and loves seeing how it helps students connect with math in a meaningful way. When he’s not tutoring, Leo enjoys origami, programming, biking, and—of course—doing math for fun!
