Aseel Khatib
Instructor
Aseel Khatib combines a sharp mathematical mind with a warm, collaborative approach to teaching. Currently studying Mechanical Engineering, Aseel loves showing students how the math they learn at the center applies to the real world.
A natural team player, Aseel spends free time playing soccer with friends and stays grounded by spending plenty of quality time with family. Aseel’s goal at Mathnasium is to make every student feel capable, supported, and excited to learn.
Kristin Fan
Instructor
Kristin Fan is currently studying Business Administration at Chapman University, but her passion for logic and structure doesn't stop at the classroom door. A master of precision, she loves spending her spare time building intricate LEGO masterpieces and working on detailed sewing projects, both of which require the exact same spatial skills and problem-solving she uses to help students piece together tough math concepts! When she’s not at the center or hitting the books, Kristin loves experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen and hanging out with her two favorite feline sidekicks.
Ethan Ly
Instructor
Ethan Ly was born and raised right here in Orange County, he is a recent graduate from the University of California, Riverside, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry. Ethan knows firsthand that whether you are analyzing molecular structures or tracking high-speed physics in motorsports, math is the underlying engine. He brings that same high-energy enthusiasm for problem-solving to the Mathnasium team, helping students see the real-world power of math. When he’s not coaching at the center, Ethan loves staying active in nature, whether he’s hiking local trails or skiing down a mountain.
Danh Nguyen
Instructor
Danh Nguyen is currently finishing up his degree in Biochemistry, with a deep passion for molecular biology and research. Whether he is analyzing complex RNA-protein interactions or helping a student solve a tough equation, Danh knows that breaking big problems down into smaller components is the key to success. He brings that exact scientific precision and patient approach to the Mathnasium team, guiding students toward their own "aha!" moments. When he isn't at the center, you can find him working out at the gym, hitting the hiking trails, conquering a video game, or hunting down the absolute best matcha espresso in town.
Emma Bassili
Instructor
Emma Bassili is an incoming freshman at CSU Long Beach studying molecular biology & physiology. When she’s not diving into science, she’s usually reading, baking, or designing clothing - constantly mathematizing the world around her, whether she's calculating precise recipe ratios or drafting fabric measurements.
Deeply committed to helping others, she spends her free time volunteering at St. Joseph Providence Hospital, teaching Sunday School, and tutoring SAT students. She brings that exact same passion, energy, and brilliant analytical mind to the Mathnasium team, making her the perfect instructor to help our students crush their goals!

Mathnasium provides premium value by combining a superior learning experience with an efficient structure that keeps costs low. There is a flat enrollment fee for our program, and students attend regularly—much like a gym membership. We recommend that they attend Mathnasium 2-3 times per week as attending less frequently will slow results and attending too often could lead to student burnout. Pricing varies by program and geographic area. Contact our center for more details on enrollment packages.
We use the Mathnasium Method™, a proprietary teaching approach which combines personalized learning plans with proven techniques to build math knowledge upon what students already know, so they're able to retain what they learn and gain confidence along the way.
No. All learning occurs under the efficient and effective guidance of our trained instructors. Adding homework would risk frustration and overload. In fact, we'll set aside some time each session to help your student with their school homework.
