• Does Mathnasium of Pleasant Hill offer online tutoring?

  Yes, Mathnasium of Pleasant Hill provides both in-center and online tutoring.    

  All our students receive caring face-to-face instruction in a fun small-group environment, whether they attend in person or log in virtually. 

• Is there a difference between online and in-person tutoring?

  No, the experience is designed to be consistent across both formats.  

  Online students follow the same customized learning plans and work directly with the specially trained tutors they would meet at our Pleasant Hill center.

• Is there a difference between the cost of online and in-center math tutoring?

  No, the cost of membership is the same for online, in-center, or hybrid learning. 

• Why do you require an assessment for enrollment?

  Each student begins their enrollment process with a diagnostic assessment to understand their current skill level, identify learning gaps, and set academic goals. This allows us to create a personalized learning plan that supports their unique path to success. 

• How do you teach math? What curriculum do you use?

  We don’t follow a fixed curriculum. At Mathnasium of Pleasant Hill, we use the Mathnasium Method™, our proprietary teaching approach that combines personalized, assessment-based learning plans with proven instructional techniques to help students truly understand and even enjoy math. 

  Following this approach, our specially trained tutors build on students' existing knowledge, introducing new concepts step-by-step to gradually increase their mathematical thinking, while developing lasting confidence and competence in math.

  Both! We support students of all skill levels, whether they are looking to catch up, keep up, or are ready to get ahead on their math journey.
