  There is a flat enrollment fee for our program, and students attend regularly. After a diagnostic assessment, we create a personalized learning plan with a recommended session frequency tailored to your child’s goals.

• Why do you require an assessment for enrollment?

  Each student begins their enrollment process with a diagnostic assessment. This allows us to understand their current math skills, identify learning gaps, and develop an individualized learning plan tailored to their needs and goals.

• How do you teach math? What curriculum do you use?

  At Mathnasium of Riverdale, we use the Mathnasium Method™, our proprietary approach that combines personalized learning plans with proven instructional techniques to help students truly understand and even enjoy math.  

  Following this approach, our specially trained tutors build on students' existing knowledge, introducing new concepts step-by-step to gradually increase their mathematical thinking, while developing lasting confidence and competence in math.

  Yes! Mathnasium of Riverdale supports students of all skill levels. 

  Students who are behind in math class receive targeted instruction and caring support to strengthen foundational skills. Our enrichment programs also provide advanced learners with challenging content that broadens their mathematical thinking. 

• Do you work with homeschooled students in the Bronx?

  Absolutely! We welcome homeschooled students, as well as those in public and private schools, across the Bronx, including Riverdale and nearby neighborhoods.

• Do you help students with their math homework?

  Yes. We make time during sessions to help students with their school math homework and ensure they understand the concepts they’re learning in class.

• Does Mathnasium assign homework to students?

  No, all learning takes place during sessions, either in-center or online. We do not assign additional homework, so students stay focused and productive during their time with us.

• Does Mathnasium of Riverdale prepare students for math on standardized tests?

  Yes! Mathnasium of Riverdale helps students prepare for standardized and school-based tests, including state assessments, SAT®, and ACT®.
