Anna graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in Business Finance. She enjoyed a successful career as a financial analyst, applying math daily to oversee budget planning, execution, and reporting for a major defense firm. After taking time to raise her children, two Potomac Falls High School graduates and one River Bend Middle School student, Anna returned to her passion for teaching.
She finds joy in helping students understand math, develop scholastic skills, and gain confidence. Anna brings warmth and experience to Mathnasium, making math meaningful for every learner.
Heidy Laboy
Instructor
Heidy holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University. She has worked extensively in the Information Technology field across government and commercial sectors. Her experiences revealed how essential math is to programming, problem-solving, and success in the ever-growing tech landscape.
Heidy has always enjoyed learning and applying math in real-world situations. Now, she’s excited to pass that enthusiasm on to Mathnasium students and help them see the value and fun of mastering math.
Kevin Price
Remote Instructor
Kevin graduated from Brigham Young University with a B.S. in Microbiology. While in college, he worked on a gene-editing nanoinjector and took multiple advanced math and physics courses. He also interned at a data science company, where he applied his math skills to real-world analytics.
As a Mathnasium instructor, Kevin draws on his academic and research background to help students discover how exciting and relevant math can be. In his free time, he enjoys walking, reading, and learning about life in space, often through models and simulations he builds himself.
