• Where is Mathnasium of Tomball located?

  Mathnasium of Tomball is located in the Tomball Town Center, right next to Stewart Title and across from Berkeley Eye Center, near Kroger.  

  We proudly serve families in Tomball and surrounding areas. Students attend Tomball Independent School District and Magnolia Independent School District. Local schools include:

• Does Mathnasium of Tomball offer online tutoring?

  Yes. Mathnasium of Tomball offers both in-center and online math tutoring. Whether attending online or in person, all students receive face-to-face instruction from the same specially trained tutors in a supportive and engaging group environment designed to help them succeed.

• Is there a difference between online and in-person tutoring?

  Yes. In-person tutoring is preferred. We strive to maintain the same level of quality of instruction through online sessions at Mathnasium of Tomball. Students who participate online receive the same personalized learning plans, face-to-face instruction, and real-time support from our caring tutors that they would experience in our center.

• What math classes can your Tomball tutors help with?

  We work with students from Pre-K through college-level math, including subjects like early arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, and College Algebra. 

  Our specially trained tutors use personalized instruction to help students make sense of math, close knowledge gaps, and build strong foundations for long-term success.

• What does mathematics tutoring cost at Mathnasium of Tomball?

  Mathnasium offers structured, math-only tutoring through a flat monthly membership. There are various options for short-term and long-term agreements, as well as session package options. Most students benefit from attending 1–2 times per week. We recommend starting with a free assessment to determine the ideal frequency and learning plan for your child.

• Is there a difference between the cost of online and in-center math tutoring?

  No. Pricing remains consistent whether your child attends sessions in person, online, or in a hybrid format.

• Why do you require an assessment for enrollment?

  At Mathnasium of Tomball, students begin the enrollment process with a diagnostic assessment designed to help us identify their learning style, needs, and goals.   

  Using assessment-based insights, we create a learning plan that will help them truly understand and even start to enjoy math, making meaningful progress at their own pace. 

• How do you teach math? What curriculum do you use?

  At Mathnasium of Tomball, we follow a customized learning plan comprised of Mathnasium proprietary learning materials and supplements based on the individual students’ needs.  

  We use the Mathnasium Method™, our proprietary teaching approach that combines structured learning plans with proven instructional techniques. Our goal is to help students make sense of math, build solid foundations for math mastery, and enhance their problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

• Do you work with advanced students or with students who are struggling with math?

  Both. We support students at every skill level, whether they need to catch up, keep up, or get ahead on their math journey. 

  Students who need extra support benefit from targeted instruction designed to strengthen understanding and improve performance. Advanced learners are challenged with enrichment opportunities that push them further and deepen their mathematical thinking.

• Do you work with homeschooled students in Tomball?

  Absolutely. We support homeschooled students with an understanding of unique homeschool program requirements throughout Tomball, Rose Hill, Stagecoach, Hufsmith, Pinehurst, Magnolia, and surrounding communities.

• Do you help students with their math homework?

  Yes. Higher level students may enroll for homework help only. Students working from a customized Learning Plan may have time set aside during each session to help students with their math homework. This allows students to stay on top of their classroom assignments while reinforcing the concepts they’re learning in our center.

• Does Mathnasium assign homework to students?

  No. All instruction takes place during structured sessions with our specially trained tutors. We do not assign homework; our focus is on helping students make meaningful progress during their time with us.

• Does Mathnasium of Tomball prepare students for math on standardized tests?

  Yes, Mathnasium of Tomball helps students prepare for standardized math tests, including state assessments, STAAR, ACT®, and SAT®.  

  Our test prep programs use personalized learning plans, targeted practice, with Texas-based and industry-approved practice test materials, and proven strategies to help students improve their test performance and approach exams with confidence.
