Mr. Frank
Owner
Frank earned his Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from the University of Buffalo and has worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Emory University and as a Research Fellow at the CDC. With more than a dozen peer-reviewed publications, Frank has applied strong math skills throughout his scientific career.
Inspired by Mathnasium’s impact on students’ lives, Frank became the owner of Mathnasium of Tucker in April 2020. He enjoys being part of a center where math makes sense to kids. Frank’s favorite number is 7, and he proudly solved the Rubik’s Cube as a teen using his own algorithm.
Mr. Sulu
Center Director
Sulu Jaffer holds a B.A. in Psychology with minors in Biology and Chemistry from UC San Diego. A former Hospital Corpsman in the U.S. Navy, Sulu has experience running businesses and joined Mathnasium after seeking math support for his son in 2016.
Since then, he has operated three Mathnasium centers and now leads the Sandy Springs location. Sulu is passionate about helping kids grow from early learners into confident middle schoolers. In his spare time, he trains for triathlons and enjoys high-performance driving. His favorite number is 7, and his race car number is 604.
Mr. Sheri
Assistant Center Director
Sheri studied Political Science and Information Systems in college and spent several years working in IT. A longtime math enthusiast, Sheri enjoys puzzles, logical thinking, and explaining technical topics in fun, accessible ways.
At Mathnasium, he brings curiosity and creativity to every session. He loves making math click for students and learning from them in return. Sheri’s favorite number is 2000, and he’s fascinated by cooking, especially decoding restaurant dishes to recreate them at home.
Ms. Cinya
Instructor
Cinya graduated from Tucker High School and is currently studying computer science at Georgia Tech. She has always been passionate about math and enjoys learning new concepts that stretch her understanding.
She brings that same enthusiasm to her students at Mathnasium, helping them explore math with curiosity and creativity. Her favorite number is 2, and she loves sharing fun facts like how early calculators used to fill entire rooms. Cinya believes math is everywhere, and that learning it should be fun.

Instructor
Justin recently graduated from Emory University with a degree in Biology and plans to attend dental school. He has always enjoyed math and problem-solving and loves helping others understand concepts that may seem difficult at first. He hopes to help students become more confident in math and enjoy the process of learning.

Mr. Kojo
Instructor
Kojo is a 4th year undergrad at Georgia Tech studying mathematics and minoring in Physics and Japanese. He’s been teaching at Mathnasium for the past year, and he loves helping students work through tough math concepts using clear and simple intuitions. Outside of teaching, Kojo plays jazz piano and guitar, making music with his drummer best friend.
Favorite Number: “64. Because 7 ate 9. I’m kidding, it’s just a very pretty number to me!”

Instructor
Mark is a professional author with a specialization in microeconomics and historical fiction. He’s taught math and science for high school students, built numbers-heavy pitch decks for new technology, and holds an MBA in marketing from the University of Texas at Austin.
Favorite Number: “1.61803: the golden ratio. You can see it in Greek architecture, flower petals, and the Fibonacci sequence.”
