• Where is Mathnasium of Waco located?

  Mathnasium of Waco is located on Hewitt Drive, between Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Jersey Mike’s, directly across from Rice Field. With convenient access and parking, our location is a favorite among families in the Hewitt and Woodway areas.

• What math classes can your Waco tutors help with?

  We offer math-only tutoring through a flat monthly enrollment fee with no long-term contracts. Most students attend 2–3 sessions per week. We’ll determine the best plan for your child during your free assessment.

  Yes! Mathnasium of Waco is an approved vendor for the PDSES (Supplemental Special Education Services) program, making it easier for families to access our personalized math tutoring services.

• Why do you require an assessment for enrollment at Mathnasium of Waco?

  Each student begins with a diagnostic assessment that helps us understand their current skill level, identify learning gaps, and learn about their academic goals. These insights allow us to create a personalized learning plan tailored to their needs. 

• How do you teach math? What curriculum do you use?

  At Mathnasium of Waco, we don’t use a fixed curriculum. We apply the Mathnasium Method™, our proprietary teaching approach that combines structure with personalization using tailored learning plans and proven instructional techniques. 

  Building upon what the student already knows, we add new concepts gradually, breaking them down into manageable steps to help them fill in their knowledge gaps, develop solid foundational skills, and even transform how they think and feel about math.

• Do you work with advanced students or with students who are struggling with math?

  Yes. We work with students at all skill levels, whether they are looking to catch up, keep up, or get ahead on their math journey. 

  Students who are struggling with math receive step-by-step guidance to strengthen their understanding and confidence. Advanced learners benefit from enrichment that challenges them and extends their learning.

• Do you work with homeschooled students in Waco?

  Yes. We welcome homeschooled students in grades K–12, as well as those enrolled in public and private schools throughout the Waco area. 

• Do you help students with their math homework?

  Yes. Our tutors set aside time during sessions to help students with their math homework and ensure they understand the material they are covering in school. 

• Does Mathnasium assign homework to students?

  No. All instruction takes place during sessions at the center or online. We do not assign homework—our goal is to ensure students make progress while they’re with us. 

• Do you prepare students for standardized tests?

  Yes. We help students prepare for standardized math exams, including state tests, ACT®, and SAT®. Our programs include personalized learning plans, focused review, and test-taking strategies that build both skill and confidence. 

• Do you offer online tutoring?

  Yes. Mathnasium of Waco offers both in-center and online tutoring. Whether they attend in person or online, our students receive personalized, face-to-face instruction from the same specially trained tutors in a supportive and engaging group environment. 

• Is there a difference between online and in-person tutoring?

  No. Students who attend online sessions receive the same quality of live, face-to-face instruction, personalized learning plans, and caring guidance as those who attend in person at our learning center. 

• Is there a difference between the cost of online and in-center math tutoring at Mathnasium of Waco?

  No. Whether students attend sessions online, in person, or in a hybrid format, the cost of membership remains the same.
