Owner and Director
Dr. Beg holds a Ph.D. in Microbiology brings over 20 years of systems microbiology research and teaching experience, including teaching microbiology and infectious-disease courses at Boston University for students pursuing careers in the health sciences. His research work blends math, statistics, and computer science to interpret large biological datasets—proving that math and science are deeply intertwined. At Mathnasium, he is passionate about helping every child understand core math concepts, encouraging creativity, independent thinking, and problem-solving from an early age.
Outside of education, Qasim enjoys racket sports, travel, and working out. He played hockey from middle school through college. His favorite thing about math is its infinite possibilities.
Fun Fact: Student athlete in middle and high school hockey teams, then continued to play in college.

Center Director
Ali holds a Bachelor’s in Mathematics and a Master’s in Curriculum and Instructional Planning from Merrimack College. She has taught 7th grade math in Massachusetts and Colorado and previously worked as an Account Manager in a Boston-based fintech company.
Ali is passionate about math education and meeting students where they are. She believes that while there may be one right answer, there are many ways to find it. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, exploring national parks, and spending time with her dog, Noah.

CD - Finance and Marketing
Adil holds a Master’s in Finance and has over five years of experience teaching and tutoring math. He manages the center’s financial operations, monitors student progress, and supports instruction as needed. He values how math provides many different ways to approach and solve a problem, which helps students think critically.
His dual role at Mathnasium allows him to apply both his analytical and educational skills. Adil enjoys seeing students discover new methods and grow their confidence in math. He believes a strong foundation in math is key to lifelong learning.
Samantha
Instructor
Samantha is a special education teacher with four years of experience and has worked with students from kindergarten to sixth grade. She enjoys helping learners build confidence and discover strategies that make math fun and approachable. She is excited to bring her expertise to the Mathnasium classroom.
Outside of work, Samantha enjoys kayaking, crafting with her Cricut machine, and playing The Sims on Xbox. She collects nutcrackers and has over 100 in her collection. Her favorite thing about math is solving it like a puzzle. Her favorite math joke? “Not unless you Count Dracula.”
Caitlyn

Caitlyn holds a Bachelor’s in Mathematics with a minor in Computer Science degree. She has always loved math and wants to encourage a love of math in all the students she works with.

Heather holds a Bachelor’s in Mathematics from MCLA and has 8 years of teaching math at middle schools. She also has been tutoring students from various grade levels.
