Tina Torre
Assistant Center Director
Tina Torre is the Assistant Center Director at Mathnasium and is double majoring in Mathematics and Adolescent Math Education at Long Island University Post. She has over four years of experience tutoring middle and high school students.
She enjoys blending creativity with instruction to help students appreciate math. Known as the “Director of Fun,” she believes learning should be engaging and enjoyable. One of her favorite math jokes asks what friends who love math are called—algebros.
Ishani Raghunathan
Instructor
Ishani Raghunathan attended Bronx Science and is currently studying Psychology with a minor in Neuroscience at Hofstra University. She has worked at Mathnasium for over a year.
She enjoys creating a safe, supportive space where students feel comfortable asking questions. She believes confidence is essential for learning. Outside of Mathnasium, Ishani enjoys creating art and spending time with her cats. One of her favorite math jokes involves Count Dracula’s counting skills.
Cole Stellman
Instructor
Cole Stellman studies Mathematics and Adolescent Education at Long Island University and has been an instructor at Mathnasium since 2023. He enjoys helping students understand concepts and build confidence in math.
Cole believes math should feel accessible and rewarding. Outside the classroom, he is active on LIU’s track and field and cross-country teams. He also enjoys spending time with family and friends and sharing math humor, including jokes about obtuse angles needing a vacation.
Samridhi Bajaj
Lead Instructor
Samridhi Bajaj attended Brooklyn Technical High School and is currently studying Biomedical Engineering and Business Management at Stony Brook University. She has experience tutoring peers and teaching summer camp classes.
She enjoys helping students feel confident and capable in math. She believes a supportive approach makes learning more effective. Outside of Mathnasium, she enjoys reading and dancing. One of her favorite math jokes involves a triangle teasing a circle for being pointless.
Carmela Drossman
Instructor
Carmela Drossman is a high school student at New Hyde Park Memorial and has worked at Mathnasium since June 2024. She also has experience working at summer camps and volunteering through her Sunday school.
She enjoys helping students learn in a supportive environment. In her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking, and listening to music. She enjoys sharing lighthearted math humor, including jokes about why a nose cannot be twelve inches long.
Maximillian O'Connor
Instructor
Max graduated from New Hyde Park Memorial High School as Student Council President in 2022. Currently, Max goes to Queens College studying Secondary Education for Mathematics as part of the TIME 2000 Honors Program. Max used to attend Mathnasium while in elementary school and strives to foster the same fun learning environment he had at Mathnasium that inspired him to teach. Outside of school, Max serves as a volunteer firefighter for the New Hyde Park Fire Department and is also a NYS EMT.
Zahra Nuha

Nuha is a student at New Hyde Park Memorial High School. She has experience tutoring her peers in various math and science topics. She's actively involved in her school's Model UN team and science research program, and she likes volunteering for political campaigns and the hospital. In her free time, she likes to drive around trying new cafe's with her friends, going to the city, or running. Her favorite math joke - Why was math class so long?
